Free open-source terminal/IDE/desktop coding agent (BYO key, $0; desktop app in beta on macOS/Windows/Linux). opencode Zen is its optional gateway: 'Go' is a flat $10/mo subscription with dollar-denominated usage caps ($12/5h, $30/wk, $60/mo) over 24 curated open-weight coding models (re-verified 2026-08-28 on opencode.ai/docs/go); when caps are hit you can keep using free models or enable 'Use balance' to fall back to your Zen balance. A $5-first-month promo has been offered (e.g. via referral links) but the docs/landing page now list the plan plainly at $10/month. Pay-as-you-go Zen is credit-based at zero markup (only card fees passed through) and adds frontier models (Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok). Frontier models are NOT in the Go bundle.
