About Zed pricing
Zed is an open-source, high-performance code editor. AI on paid plans uses Zed-hosted models billed at the provider's API list price +10%; you can also bring your own API keys (Anthropic/OpenAI/Google/Bedrock/Mistral/Deepseek/Ollama/OpenRouter/etc.) or use external agents on any tier, including the free Personal plan. Edit Predictions use Zed's own Zeta model. Prices are monthly only — no annual discount is offered. Zed's hosted AI is token-billed (not a fixed prompt allowance): only Pro bundles an included token credit ($5/mo); beyond it (and on Business) usage is pure passthrough.
